Hastings Fat Tuesday music festival is the UK’s largest Mardi Gras celebration which showcases Hastings’ thriving music scene – opening its doors to a wealth of musical talent and music fans alike.
Although the festival is over 5 days we managed to cram a whole load into one afternoon.
Started off at Saint Marys in the castle restaurant in front of the Castle ruins with the fantastic Joel White guesting in with the very soulful Rufus Stone Band
Next was the Dragon Bar which was so packed we just had to party outside to the very outlandishly dressed Brass Monkeys.
Next on the list was the Jenny Lind pub with the very laid back sounds of The Equitorial Group where we all indulged in a glass of light refreshment!
Everybody then went off to their choice of entertainment. Me and Ms Galibert went for a walk around the lovely streets of the old fishing village then on to see Will Varly @ the Royal Standed, King Size Slim @ Porters, a quick fish & chips stop @ the Blue Dolphin munching our way along George St enjoying the outside entertainment and finely back to Saint Marys in The Castle for Dr Savage & the 2nd Line Band.
Not bad for an afternoon! and with glitter in our hair we all got onto the train & back to Eastbourne.
